Welcome to Liverpool Public Library

Get a Library card and PIN

Everyone needs a library card! Visit the library to apply for one!

Your library card will give you borrowing privileges at all libraries in the Onondaga County Public Library System and having a PIN will allow you to access online services, use the self-checkout stations, check your account online, and place your own holds.

Already have a card and need a PIN/password? Visit any OCPL public library and a library staff member will be happy to help you in the set-up process. It takes only a moment.

If you live in Onondaga County, the card is free.
If you live outside of Onondaga County, there is a $35 annual fee. If you live outside Onondaga County but own property or attend school in Onondaga County, you can submit an Out-of-County Exemption Form. For more information read the Out-of_County FAQ.

Library Card Registration Policy:

Age 5 - 20: Card issued if you present your own Acceptable Valid I.D.* or you are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who presents Acceptable Valid I.D.*
Age 21+: Card issued when your Acceptable Valid I.D* is presented.

You can save time by signing up for your library card online. You have two weeks to pick up your card. In order to comply with the federal Child Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) , you must be at least 13 years old to apply for a library card online. If you are under 13 years old, your parent or legal guardian may apply on your behalf. When you come to the library to pick up your card, you will be required to show Acceptable Valid I.D., as described below. If you live outside of Onondaga County, you can pay the $35 fee at this time.
