Join Len Sharp on a journey through science fiction over the past 115 years of movie magic. Len will share film excerpts and discuss how accurately science has been portrayed since the first sci-fi movie in 1902 to present-day films.
Drop Off Your Unserviceable American Flags at the Library
Through May 24, residents can drop off their unserviceable American Flags at the Checkout Desk at the library. We will be collecting tattered, worn or faded American Flags in preparation for the Memorial Day Watchfire and flag retirement ceremony.
The flags will be burned during a flag retirement ceremony taking place May 28, at the Veterans Memorial Watchfire Park at the NYS Fairgrounds. The pyre and respectful burning of flags begins at dusk (approx. 8pm).
