Music & Lyrics of the 60's & 70's
Monday, Nov 30 at 7pm
Carman Community Room
A reading from writer Jim Farfaglia's latest book of poetry, Reach out in the Darkness: How Pop Music Saved My Mortal Soul, along with musical accompaniment.
Farfaglia pays homage to the musicians of that era and the songs and cultural experience they created with a music/poetry program as seen through his teenaged eyes and heart. He will read a few poems and musicians Gina Holsopple and Matthew Wood will perform songs mixes of some cover versions of the songs referenced in the poems. Free. No registration needed. Books and CDs will be available for purchase and signing.
