Around the World with Animated Films: An International Perspective

Onondaga County Public Libraries and the Syracuse International Film Festival present this fun and unique film series. Several animated shorts will screen including: Liverpool will screen the following animated shorts: The Wishing Well - (USA) - a funny look at all ages of people. The Life (Korea) - a Korean legend, and Pictures at an Exhibition (Russia) - an animated musical tour or a museum. There will be a brief discussion after each film and as well as a look at animation from the various cultures represented.
Liverpool Great History Race*

Starts in Lobby
LPL's version of The Amazing Race based on local history. Using provided clues, teams race to find and photograph markers around the village. First team to finish and make it to The Retreat wins. A camera or camera phone is required. *Registration is required and begins April 24.
Drop Off Your Unserviceable American Flags at the Library
Through May 24, residents can drop off their unserviceable American Flags at the Checkout Desk at the library. We will be collecting tattered, worn or faded American Flags in preparation for the Memorial Day Watchfire and flag retirement ceremony.
The flags will be burned during a flag retirement ceremony taking place May 28, at the Veterans Memorial Watchfire Park at the NYS Fairgrounds. The pyre and respectful burning of flags begins at dusk (approx. 8pm).

A variety of vendors will be on hand to sell locally-made products including food, crafts, plants and more. Market is canceled in the event of inclement weather.
Engage your mind and body at this Monday afternoon series for individuals 55+. *Registration is required for each program.
Walk & Watch – Birdwatching*
May 22 • 2pm • Off-site
We'll meet in the Onondaga Lake Park West Shore parking lot (located on Long Branch Road) and go birdwatching with Audubon's Paul Richardson. Registration starts April 30.
