The Voice of the Veteran Readings 2014
Friday, October 10 • 4-5:30pm
Carman Community Room
Healing can be strived for in many ways. Expressing oneself in writing is one avenue. Join us for an afternoon of personal readings by local veterans as they share their stories. Cosponsored by the Syracuse Veterans Administration Medical Center.
Thanks to You - We Had a Great Book Sale!
We would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to everyone who made our Really BIG Book Sale a REALLY BIG SUCCESS - To our partners - the Liverpool Elementary School Parent Faculty Organization and Liverpool Elementary School staff, to the people who donated and bought books, the fabulous volunteers, and NICHOLS Supermarket who made our bag sale possible by donating the bags!
We couldn't have done it without you!
The book donation drop-off in the garage will open on Oct 1, so we can start collecting for next year. Make sure you check out our ongoing lobby book sale - things are added almost every day; you never know what you'll find! Thank You!
Join Us For a Free Family-Friendly Zombie Walk!
Saturday, Oct 4 • 11:20am-1pm
Meet in the Carman Community Room
Don't be a zombie, just dress like one! Be healthy, have fun and take a walk with some zombies!
Zombie attire is optional, but if you show up at the library at 10:30am we can help zombify you with some makeup. Or come ready to go in your best zombie attire. We will leave from the library at 11:20am, wander down to the Salt Museum, walk, drag and shuffle a one-mile round trip along the Onondaga Lake Park trail, then head back to the library for cider and donuts.
Afterwards, Scooby Doo on Zombie Island will be shown in the Carman Community Room at 1pm.
