All About Taxes!

It's Tax Time again!  This year, due to IRS budget cuts, the library will have a very limited number of tax forms and no Federal instruction books.

You can request forms and instruction books from the IRS at:
IRS.gov/orderforms - to order tax products to be delivered by mail
1-800-829-3676 - to order tax products to be delivered by mail

When the tax forms are available at the library, they will be located located in racks in front of the security desk. We have a dedicated computer connected directly to the IRS & NYS Tax website that you can print forms for 10ยข a page.

The library is going to be a test pilot site for Facilitated Self-Assisted Tax Preparation.
If your income is below $60,000, you can come to the library and e-file your federal and state returns for free. NYS Department of Tax and Finance staff will be on hand to answer questions and help guide you through the filing process as needed. Click here for more info on what to bring with you. It will be drop in, no appointment needed - dates will be posted soon.
