The Onondaga County Public Library subscribes to QuestionPoint, a worldwide, collaborative service. When you connect, you will often be chatting with a librarian from outside the Onondaga County library system.

* A web browser with JavaScript turned on: Microsoft Internet Explorer (6 or 7), Netscape, Firefox, Opera, or Safari. Note to Mac Users: if the remote librarian opens a shared browser window, you may not be able to see chat messages right away. The librarian will be able to see messages from you but you will not be able to see your own messages or read responses until the other "cobrowse" window is closed.
"Chat and Cobrowse" requirements are:
* Microsoft Windows (2000 or XP) for IE6. Microsoft Windows (XP or Vista) for IE7
* A web browser with JavaScript enabled: Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 or Microsoft Internet Explorer 7
* A Java Virtual Machine such as the Sun Run Time Environment 1.4.X or 1.5.X or the Microsoft Virtual Machine.
