Click the Book Mouse Explains Books

It's pretty simple. All you need to know is that books are made of pieces of paper called pages. The pages are attached together. There is a cover to protect the pages so they don't fall out!

The pages have letters and words on them. These words make up the story.

You want to begin at the beginning of the story-- so you always start on the first page. Turn the pages to the left until you run out of pages. That's the end of the story! And the end of my story, too.

Print Awareness

Noticing print, knowing how to handle a book, and knowing how to follow the words on the page is the skill Click's teaching.
Babies will often put board books in their mouths. Help your older child discover how to hold a book and turn the pages.
