Books:
Down By the Station
Dinosaur Stomp!

Hello everybody and how are you?
How are you, how are you?
Hello everybody and how are you?
How are you today?

Here is my book
I open it wide
To see the pictures
That are inside

Little red caboose
Little red caboose
Riding behind the train [Toot toot!]
Smokestack on its back
Rolling down the track
Little red caboose behind the train  [Toot toot!]
Oh, no! A caboose is loose!
(last child goes to the front
and leads the train wherever—using eggs)

Chugalugalug and a
    toot toot toot
Chugalugalug and a
    toot toot toot
Chugalugalug and a
    toot toot toot
Hear that train a-coming.
Little blue engine  sure
    can roll . . .
She drinks water, she eats coal.
Stand on the hill
and I wave my   hand . . .
I want to ride with the railroad man.
Wish I was in that red caboose. . .
And they never would turn me loose
There she goes
around the bend. . .
Tomorrow she’ll be back again.

First you spread the peanut butter
Then you spread the jam
You put a slice of bread on top
And eat up all you can
You take your sticky fingers
And you wipe them on your pants
And you do a little wiggle
For the peanut butter dance!

Here is a doughnut, round and fat
There’s a hole in the middle,
But you can’t eat that!
Here is a bagel, round and fat
There’s a hole in the middle,
But you can’t eat that!

If all the raindrops
Were lemon drops and gum drops
Oh, what a rain it would be
I’d stand outside with my mouth open wide--
Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah
If all the raindrops
were lemon drops and gum drops
Oh what a rain it would be
If all the snowflakes were candy bars and milkshakes
Oh, what a snow it would be! . . .
If all the sunbeams were bubble gum and ice cream
Oh, what a day it would be! . . .

We are the dinosaurs, marching, marching
We are the dinosaurs,
WHADDAYA THINK OF THAT?
We are the dinosaurs, marching, marching
We are the dinosaurs, we make the earth flat--
We make the earth FLAT!
Laurie Berkner

The elephant goes like this and that
He’s terrible big and he’s terrible fat
He has no fingers
He has no toes
But goodness gracious, what a nose!

Hickory Dickory Dock
The mouse ran up the clock
The clock struck one--the mouse ran down
Hickory Dickory Dock. . .
The clock struck two--the mouse said “Boo!”
The clock struck three--the mouse said “Whee!”
The clock struck four--the mouse said “No more”–
Hickory Dickory Dock!

As high as a house
As small as a mouse
As wide as a barn
As thin as a pin

The more we get together
Together, together
The more we get together
The happier we’ll be
‘Cause your friends are my friends
And my friends are your friends
The more we get together
The happier we’ll be
