The two Liverpool musicians have merged her saxophone and his keyboard work together for a handful of years now, friendly Midgley-Scuderi explained to the audience. They met at an educational opportunity. They discovered they'd attended the same university, albeit at different times. They found out their musical talents blend very well, indeed.

For this hometown program, she explained, all of the pieces performed were written by composers who are still alive.

If patrons wanted to know more about what they were hearing, they needed only to aim a smart device camera at the QR code sign pasted on a pavilion pillar by Midgley-Scuderi to find a specially made document detailing the night's program.
