This January, Mark Cuban has challenged libraries like ours to READ!

Prize CartDeadline for logging books is January 31!

If you've earned a prize, you'll still have time to stop in and pick one out until February 9.

Starting January 1, we’ll join 100 select libraries nationwide for a Winter Reading Challenge.

If we can reach our national collective goal of a total of 1 million minutes and 50,000 books in the month of January, Cuban will donate $25,000 to First Book, a nonprofit organization that provides new books for children in need. He also will distribute $10,000 to top-performing libraries to use for their programs.

As a library, our goal is to read 310 books and 13088 minutes.

This includes print books, eBooks, audiobooks and even books you read with your kids. The challenge is open to all ages. Register and track your books online at You can win prizes and badges for completing different levels and be entered for a grand prize at the end.

Are you up for the challenge?
