Get set for fun during Winter Recess week at the Liverpool Public Library! You don’t have to be a kid to appreciate this pair of special events.
Families can gather in the Carman Community Room at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, for Winter Fun Fest. Activities will include snowball tossing, ice cube sculptures and trivia. There will be hot chocolate for those who wish to indulge. Everybody can pitch in on the collaborative LEGO snowscape. And for a special treat, Jeff the Magic Man will visit to make and bestow his coveted balloon animals! Drop in, there’s no registration needed.
At 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, Hogwarts Holidays will brighten the Carman Community Room for Harry fans of all ages. Celebrate the magic of the season with Harry and friends! Fun for everyone! Honeydukes will be open, get your photograph taken with Harry and friends, vote for your magical favorites, search out a Golden Snitch, create a Hogwarts holiday ornament and more. Those 18+ are invited to celebrate in the professor's lounge. At 7 p.m., join us in the Great Hall for food and festivities. Dress as your favorite character. Please bring some warm socks to donate so we can free the house elves!
