The library is a site for VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance). The VITA program offers free tax help to people who generally make $54,000 or less, persons with disabilities, the elderly and limited English speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. IRS-certified volunteers provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals.
Appointments are required. One hour slots - appointments should take about an hour. Wednesdays, Feb 22, Mar 15, 22, 29 • 5-8:00pm and Thursday, April 6 • 5:30-8:30

Fold3 Library Edition by Ancestry is a subscription database that provides access to a wide variety of records, many of which are directly related to or created by the US Military. Free access in the library - Liverpool cardholders can also use the database for free from home with their card number and PIN. Dating from the Revolutionary War, search:
Pension/Survivors’ benefits records
Plus some non-military records like city directories, historic newspapers and naturalization records.
