Teen Programs

Teens in grades 7-12 are welcome to attend any of our teen programs, no adults allowed! Programs usually are scheduled for Wednesdays and some may require preregistration. Check our calendar for upcoming teen programs. 

Teen Geeks Tabletop Games

risk2Teens meet, hang out, pick their favorite tabletop game, and roll the dice to compete in Risk or whichever the game of choice for that night might be.

They also get to eat some snacks between rounds.

Teen Geeks Tabletop Games typically gets together from 6 to 8 p.m. the first Wednesday of the month in the Teen Room.

Each session is planned to be a little different.

 

Teen Anime Night

animeThis monthly get-together is a visual social event for teens to watch and discuss anime.

Every month a different anime is shown on the big HD screen in the Carman Community Room.

There also will be activities such as drawing contests, trivia match-ups, and games with prizes.

Refreshments will be served.

Cosplay is welcomed, but costumes must be deemed appropriate by library staff members.

Teen Anime Night typically meets from 6 to 8 p.m. the second Wednesday of every month in the Carman Community Room.

 

Teen Geeks Video Games

This is the monthly meeting for teens who love to play video games.

The game action will take place on the large Carman Community Room screen, as well as a smaller display.

When you're not the person at the controls, there will be time to hang out, socialize and eat snacks.

Every meeting will be designed to be a bit differerent than the last.

Teen Geeks Video Games typically meets from 6 to 8 p.m. the third Wednesday of every month in the Carman Community Room.

 

Teen Trading Card Game Night with TCGPlayer

card colab3Teen Trading Card Game Night was designed especially for teens who are fans of card games like PokeMon, YuGiOh and Magic.

The program was lined up in collaboration with TCGPlayer, a Syracuse-based company that's hot with the Trading Card Game crowd.

New and experienced players are welcome.

Some premade decks will be available, but teens are encouraged to bring their own creations.

Teen Trading Card Game Night typically meets the fourth Wednesday of every month in the Carman Community Room. Registration is required. Click here to register on the calendar page.

 

Other Teen Clubs that rotate into the schedule are Teen 8 Bit Perler Design, Teen Dungeons & Dragons Adventure and Teen Cooking & Trivia: Grilled Cheese.
