Village of Liverpool

The Village of Liverpool is located northwest of the City of Syracuse, in the center of New York state, not far from where interstate 90 (Governor Thomas E. Dewey Thruway) and interstate 81 intersect.

The village itself is only about one square mile in size, but the Greater Liverpool area is home to approximately 54,000 residents.

Liverpool and the surrounding area are home to many attractions. Onondaga Lake Park features the Wegmans Playground, vehicle free walking, bike and blading trails, a Wegmans Good Dog park, for the four footed family members. The park also is home to the Salt Museum, which offers a look at Central New York's salt making history. During the holiday season, Onondaga Lake Park turns into a winter wonderland as park visitors drive through Lights on the Lake, Central New York's premier holiday attraction.

Located directly across the lake from Liverpool, the New York State Fair runs for 12+ days every August through Labor Day, and hosts other events throughout the year.

Liverpool is located just 10 minutes by car from downtown Syracuse. There you will find the Milton J. Rubenstein Museum of Science and Technology (MOST). The MOST features many hands-on displays, as well as the Bristol IMAX omnitheater where visitors can view the latest IMAX releases on a giant domed screen.

Speaking of domes, The Carrier Dome on the campus of Syracuse University is home to SU Athletics. Concerts, field band competitions and other activities are held at the 50,000 seat domed stadium as well.
