It's Easy to Start Your Child on the Reading Path with 1000 Books Before Kindergarten

Children's librarian Amanda Riccardo sees the excitement in the young ones' eyes.

Since taking over stewardship of the LPL's 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program, Riccardo has noticed an increase in participation in the program designed to foster a lifelong relationship between young ones and books.

That's the subject of this week's community library column for the Eagle News Online/Star Review.

Librarian Amanda Riccardo and other LPL staffers can sign children up to participate in 1000 Books Before Kindergarten at the Children's Room Information Desk.
