The Liverpool Public Library Hosts Community Event to
Celebrate STEM Education and Literacy

Liverpool, NY– The Liverpool Public Library is hosting a celebration of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education and literacy on Wednesday, March 15 at 6 p.m. featuring guests from the Micron Foundation’s STEM Education Team. The STEM team will lead and engage the Library’s tween and teen patrons in STEM activities and then offer a presentation to the community highlighting the importance of STEM education.

In October 2022, Micron announced its intention to invest up to $100 billion over the next 20-plus years, with the first phase investment of $20 billion planned by the end of this decade, in building a leading-edge memory megafab in Clay, New York. This represents the largest private investment in New York state history.

The Liverpool Public Library serves the residents of the Liverpool Central School District, providing access to resources, including e-books, audiobooks, streaming content, computer access, technology tutoring and assistance, adult and children’s programming, a physical collection of resources, and a Library of Things.

The Liverpool Public Library looks forward to a long-term partnership with Micron Technology to support STEM literacy, connecting our community, engaging residents, inspiring discovery, learning, and growth. This event is free and open to the public, but registration is preferred at LPL.org.
